You are charged only for leads whose phone number verified.
Everything else comes straight back to your credit balance, automatically, with no request and no form. A scrape that returns nothing costs nothing. This is how the product bills — not an exception we grant on complaint.
1. How you are charged in the first place
Credits are prepaid. You buy a pack, the pack does not expire, and there is no subscription. What a scrape actually costs is decided after it runs:
- You set a cap. When you start a scrape you choose the maximum number of leads you want.
- We reserve that many credits. The full cap comes off your balance up front, so the most it could ever cost is visible before it runs. This is a hold, not a charge.
- We deliver everything we find. Every business we find appears in your results and your CSV export, whether or not its phone number verifies.
- We charge for the verified ones and return the rest. When the scrape finishes, the credits for leads whose phone number did not verify go back to your balance.
A scrape capped at 500 reserves 500 credits. It finds 340 businesses; 180 of them have a phone number that verifies. You are charged 180, and 320 credits return to your balance. The other 160 leads are delivered free.
You can see every one of these movements — purchase, reservation, settlement — in the history on your billing page. Nothing is charged that is not itemised there.
2. A scrape that finds little, or nothing
Results depend on a public data source we do not control, so a search can legitimately return fewer businesses than your cap — or none. You are never charged for leads that were not delivered.
- Zero results: full return. If a scrape finds nothing, the entire reservation goes back to your balance. It costs you nothing at all.
- Fewer results than the cap: you pay for what arrived. The unused part of the reservation is returned.
- Results with no verified phone: free. Those leads are still delivered to you and still exportable. You keep them and pay nothing for them.
- A scrape you stop early: you are charged for the leads already found and verified at the point you stopped it; the remainder of the reservation is returned.
- A scrape that fails on our side: it settles the same way — you are charged for verified leads actually delivered to you, and nothing more. If a failure charges you for something you did not receive, tell us and we will correct it.
3. Credits you have not spent
Credits never expire. There is no monthly reset, no use-it-or-lose-it period, and no inactivity fee. An unused balance is still there whenever you come back.
Because of that, buying credits you do not use immediately costs you nothing — which is the point of section 1. You are not buying a quantity of leads in advance; you are topping up a balance that is drawn down only by delivered, verified results.
4. Getting money back, rather than credits
Sections 1 to 3 are automatic and cover the ordinary case. This section is about returning the money you paid for a credit pack.
The terms below have not been set yet and must be decided by a human before this page is published. What a customer is entitled to depends on where they live and what they bought, and inventing a period or a window here would be inventing a promise.
- Cooling-off: [COOLING-OFF PERIOD]
- How long after purchase you can ask: [REFUND ELIGIBILITY WINDOW]
- How long a refund takes once agreed: [REFUND PROCESSING TIME]
- Consumer rights that apply regardless of the above: [GOVERNING LAW]
Refunds are returned to the original payment method through Stripe. A refund of a pack reverses the credits it granted; we cannot refund the money and leave the credits in place.
To ask for one, email [CONTACT EMAIL] from the address on your account, with the date of the purchase. We aim to reply within [SUPPORT RESPONSE TIME].
5. If something has gone wrong with a charge
Contact us before your bank. Specifically, get in touch if:
- you were charged twice for the same purchase;
- you paid and the credits did not appear on your billing page within a few minutes;
- your balance does not match the history shown on your billing page;
- a scrape charged you for leads you did not receive.
A genuine billing error is ours to fix, and we will fix it. Email [CONTACT EMAIL] with your organisation name and roughly when it happened.
If you raise a chargeback with your card issuer instead, we handle it as follows: [DISPUTE PROCESS].
6. If your account closes
What happens to an unused credit balance when an account is closed — by you or by us — is set out here: [REFUND ELIGIBILITY WINDOW], and the grounds on which we may close an account are in the Terms of Service.
